Oona RislingSholl

Oona Risling-Sholl is a product of the wee early 1980’s. With a family history rich in both political activism and artistic leanings, Oona was surrounded from the start by basket weavers, musicians, Native American civil rights leaders, fine artists, and teachers; she was told that if she ever wanted to rebel, she would have had to become an IRS agent. And so, she began drawing before her first birthday and didn’t stop.
Oona currently dabbles in block prints, and continues to draw and paint. She is a big fan of using charcoal, graphite, ink, acrylic, and watercolors on anything that will hold still long enough. She is ninety percent self-taught, while the other ten percent sometimes considers other people’s suggestions.
