just to let you all know, a bit of northbay musicology trivia:

the poster for the noisepop festival, for some unknown reason (or extremely simple reason I don’t know) has the symbol used by the band The Conspiracy, a ska-rock band from the 90s. From their myspace: “Members went on to form: Edaline, Cannonball, The Wunder Years, Let’s Go Bowling, Desert City Soundtrack, Jacobsen Lane, The Ghost, The Velvet Teen, The Listening Group, Pompeii & The New Trust.” Holy shit thats like 15 GREAT bands - not good, GREAT.
this entire comment is meant to make you check out the conspiracy. the one from petaluma, not ohio.

      ***this just in***
Google tells me that Conspiracy is still around, and has regrouped with an entirely new lineup as “the Mayor of Columbus Ohio’s favorite band,” playing A-list parties with a setlist of R&B cover tunes.
Wikipedia also tells me that Conspiracy is a band with two albums out, but currently on hiatus, formed by former members of the progressive rock group Yes.
      Go figure.
